Question: my question: what are the difference materials that dentures are made from, so that they will feel more natural
Aug 26, 2010 8:48 am
Hi,
Thank you for contacting Denture Living. Dentures come in many different forms; quite honestly, they are always customized to suit anyone’s specific needs so there are plenty of forms and colors to choose from. For instance, a set of complete dentures will replace all of the teeth in a mouth, while partial dentures can correct gaps in a smile and use adjacent teeth to lock themselves in place. These choices are something a dentist can help you with, so there is no need to discover by yourself the possibilities a good set of dentures can provide you.
Thanks again,

Question: do I soak dentures over night in water or not soak
Aug 24, 2010 8:21 am
Hi Ramiro,
Thank you for contacting Denture Living. Soaking your dentures overnight in water with a denture cleanser is a personal preference. Soaking your dentures overnight with a denture cleanser such as Fixodent Denture Cleanser Plus Scope does have the benefits of controlling odor and preventing odor-causing bacteria while whitening your dentures. It also prevents stain build-up, plaque build-up and leaves dentures feeling clean and fresh all day long.
Stop by anytime.

Question: how long does dentures last,i have broken mine twice while eating
Aug 19, 2010 8:38 am
Hi Marybeth,
There is no absolute lifespan for dentures. Some last up to thirty years. By this time they are quite badly worn but many patients remain happy with denture they have long been familiar with. The lower denture may be the first to get loose and require re-making or re-lining.
Thank you again.

Question: I have been having a hard time finding Fixodent Control, with the precision tip nozzle. Have you stopped manufacturing this item?
Aug 18, 2010 8:16 am
Hi,
Thank you for contacting Denture Living. The Fixodent Control with Food Seal has had a name change to Fixodent Food Seal. There has been no change to the product formulation. This product is available to wholesalers and retailers nationally. Since you can’t find it, we strongly recommend checking with the managers of your local grocers, drug stores, and other large chain retailers. We’ve found many of our consumers have had positive results from speaking with store management and insisting they order their favorite products. Stores make their buying decisions largely based on consumer demand, so letting them know what you want can influence which brands, versions, and quantities to carry.
I hope this helps!
