I am at the 21 day point today. I beef and noodles tonight with my standard mashed potatoes, ( which had becomed my staple for the first 10 days). If your gums are sore no matter where you chew than you probably need to get an adjustment immediately. Your gums are starting to shrink now. See of your dentist will coat the inside of your dentures with a white powder and then put it in your mouth to find out where the dentures are resting against your gums. And then, he can make the neccessary adjustments to make sure that more of the denture is resting upon as much of your gum line as possible. Although this was not an immediate fix for me, within two days of this adjustment I was finally eating solid food again. Believe me, it's a whole lot better than starving. ( or mashed potatoes and oatmeal everyday). Good Luck! Bucky
