Reply to I look different

Hi Kelly,  I'm not fully qualified to reply, since I have just received partials, but for the pain aspect--well-fitting dentures should not hurt (after the healing is complete), aside from a few sore spots which can be remedied by adjustments to the appliances.  I agree with the other posts, though, that a lot of the ill fit and pain could be due to swelling, dry sockets, etc.  Any cosmetic problems should be able to be corrected once you are fully healed, if not before.  They should feel comfortable and look natural if done by a good dentist and lab.  Best of luck to you, and I'll be joining your club (full dentures) as soon as I can find a way to pay for them!
