Your problem may be solved once your swelling has gone done. If not, either your dentist or his lab can make your denture less thick so that your lip and the area under your nose don't protrude too much. I did not have this problem with my immediate denture, but I did have this problem in one of the try-ins for my interim denture. The lab made the adjustment and it's just fine.
I know it's hard to be patient. But, unfortunately, patience is what it takes to get your denture right.
