Hi Mary#2...it will probably take a couple months before it is completely comfortable, but as long as you can get your dentist to adjust any sore spots that remain as your swelling goes down; you should soon be able to eat anything you want; also, I agree...I can't imagine going around toothless for the rest of my life!!!! I love my dentures; they actually now feel almost like they ARE my own teeth....chewing is a pleasure again,,,,,somthing I have not been able to enjoy for years really before I got my last eleven teeth pulled out and dentures placed in. Plus now I talk and smile without embaressment. It's been a win/win experience for me!!...Good Luck, Mysmile
