I am 73 y/o & have had dentures since age 25. Except for the first week or so I have worn my dentures 24/7. Except of course when cleaning them. I brush them real good while inside my mouth, take them out & brush them real good while outside my mouth. First set lasted for 23 years, & 2nd set from 1955 to now.
