Make sure that you have a good oral surgeon remove your teeth. I had very soft teeth, I'd get a filling and it would either fall out or the tooth would crack. I went to the local medical university and had 27 pulled. Then no matter what they say wait! wait! wait! I waited 7 weeks before I had my first impression made. The first set was made at a dentist office and they were horrible. The next dentist (who made dentures only) said he couldn't beleive they were mine. He made me a full set of dentures that were great. Upon advice from my mother she said NEVER use an adhesive. You will eventually learn how to hold them in with suction and I have always been able to do that. I am 71 now and have never regretted having dentures. I have seen older folks who managed to keep their teeth, but they were gray and cracked and didn't look better than my dentures!!
