I am on day 15 with my immediate dentures. I have had them adjusted a couple of times but I have noticed that since my healing and swelling has went down they need adhesive to keep them in. I also know they are just immediate's and that when six months come and I get my actual denture's they will fit better. Anyone dealing with using adhesive everyday?

I am on day 15 also. I have also had mine adjusted several times. I'm told I have to wait for them to heal. Also I only got upper dentures and I 'm waiting on the bottom which is a partial. I'm told that after they come in that they'll send the uppers out to get relined and it will take a day. Mine are immediate also so I didn't understand why you have to wait six months. But as far as the adhesive. If I don't wear it my dentures don't come close to fitting. I'm getting totally frustrated! My dentist keeps saying to give it time for the bone structure and everything else to heal but the adhesive it making my mouth sore. They say don't use too much but I have to in order for them to fit. So, I understand and not that I'm happy you're going through this but I'm glad to find someone who I can relate to. Let me know how you make out!!!!
