I just had my upper teeth extracted and a denture put in. Is it safe to use Fixodent Extra Hold Powder on my dentures while the stitches are still in?

Hey confused, I am a month out from having 25 teeth extracted and both upper and lower dentures. I was told, NOT to use adhesives until after the stitches were removed. I had the kind that did not disolve, but needed to be taken out and did not use any adhesives til even a week after the stitches removed as there is still healing happening....Hope this helps.

If you can put it just on the palate and in areas where the stitches aren't you should be ok. If the denture is so loose that you feel you need adhesive you should go back to the dentist.
