Using Fixodent

Posted: August 6, 2011 2:41 pm

I am a new denture wearer as of July 8th.  I love the uppers but have tried everything with the lower dentures.  I use fiodent in the proper amount and in less than an hour my dentures are all over the place again.  I would like to be able to eat two meals a day.  I can't eat with them moving all over the place and rubbing against sour spots.  Can I use fiodent more than once a day or is there another product that holds better?  My dentist is one of these people that thinks anyone that looses their teeth should be punished with loose fitting dentures.  I am getting a second opinion from another dentist this week.  It just kills me to have already spent over $7,000.00 and not be somewhat happy with the lower dentures.

Hi, my dentist told me that because I was not willing to go without teeth, until my gums had healed from the extractions, that I should expect the lower to be loose. He was right, I just saw him yesterday, and he suggested using sea bond pads for the lower. I got my dentures on July 11th,  ( one month ago TODAY! ).  Hope that helps.
