Noise when eating

How do you stop the noise when you eat?

I get to the point that the last few chews and my dentures hit my bottom teeth and make a loud noise, is there any way to stop that?

I try to eat foods that do not require alot of chewing when around people, it can be embarrasing.

Will they work better once the swelling is completely gone and I get my liner put in?

It has only been 10 days since getting them, I do love my smile though, I just hate the noise!

Any suggestions appreciated.

Much of the noise you are hearing is only because the dentures are in your head. People around do not hear it. It is the same as how we think our speech is. Try using a tape recorder or other recording device and listen to it later on. Your mouth is having to learn new limits as to how far it can close. It takes a little time.
