She's a lucky lady to have your support. It will undoubtedly help her on her adjustment journey.
Here are my thoughts: (1) reassure her that her reactions and condition are absolutely normal; (2) encourage her to be patient with herself and her new teeth; and (3) most importantly, encourage her to go back to her dentist for relining and adjustments early and often, including, if necessary, today or tomorrow. Also, (1) keep her away from the mirror when she's not wearing her teeth; and (2) encourage her to consume lots of soft and comforting food. Ice cream, milkshakes and chocolate pudding are all wonderful (as wel as cooling and soothing) things for the first few days.
