On March 27 I will be having 26 teeth extracted and a full upper and partial lower placed in my mouth. Doc said I would sleep with them in the first night. Thanks to everyone on this message board for posting their stories. It has been very helpful for me to read what others have gone through. Trying very hard to keep a postive out look on what is about to happen.

Going to try again. Tomorrow it will be two weeks from the Extraction day. I am doing a little better each day. The swelling and the bruises are going away. I do have some spots which hurt some nothing that an Ibuprofen can not handle. Eating is still a chore, so I stick to all the usual soft stuff. I have lost 7 pounds on my new diet, which is a good thing goal now is to knock off three more as the weather gets nice enough to walk a bit more.
Thanks to everyone on this site for sharing their stories which helped me to prepare and understand what this journey is like. Way more information than my dentist has provided.

*I am so very glad to have found this site...Being able to read some of the same things I feel after having extractions and new uppers yesterday, I realize that I just to to "give it time". I really am not having any pain to speak of and have been taking one Tylenol and one ibuprophen (for inflammation) every 6 hours and am quite comfortable really. I am drinking liquids only but I did try a banana this am and trying to chew was laughable!...eating or i should say learning to eat real food again will be a challenge. I see the dentist tomorrow for some realignment..hopefully i can keep them in as they "fall"down easily.
Wishing you all great success with your new smile...
