success story

Got 17 extractions & immediate dentures on March 16th, have done really well, first week sorta rough, had to take alot of motrin, but everyday got better. On the 3rd week was able to eat salad & a tender steak, was very surprised I was able to do so well. I've read alot of bad situations so I wasn't sure how I'd do. I've had a couple of adjustments done for sore spots & will have soft relign done in 8 weeks. Just love my new teeth, had them designed to look alot like my original ones, so I don't look much different. Final relign will be done in one year, they said it takes that long for all the bone to adapt & change. Went to Afdent in FtWayne, IN. , they are great & feel I made the right decision. I know I still have alot of adjustments ahead, but overall just wanted people to know that there can be successful & positive outcomes.

I too would like to thank you for your positive post.  I am having 19 extractions and dentures in 14 days.  I am nervous about it all, but, excited at the same time.  I am excited about my new smile!

Hi Nancyok,

I know it's miserable to be in pain.  I'm confident that when the pain and swelling go away, you'll find it was worth going through this.  I bet your new smile is beautiful!

I'm the Fixodent Community Manager and I have something I'd like to send to you.  Would you mind sending me an email with your name and address?  You can reach me at smhc.im@pg.com, and please include your username in the subject line.

Thanks!

I am so happy to hear that, for you and for me, lol. I am 4 days out from removal of 21 with immediate dentures. Still quite a bit of pain and face still swelling a bit........I have temporary dentures now and will get permanent in about 4 months. It's a little tough going through this whole ordeal, but a anxious for a positive outcome. Thank you for your post. That was really good to hear. as I have been a little scared.
