It gets better

Posted: April 29, 2012 2:10 pm

Four weeks since 10 teeth extracted. Rough going trying to eat first to weeks. Lots of pudding and jello. I spent thousands of dollars trying to keep

my teeth but diabetes won out. Looking to get permanent dentures in eight weeks. Hard to accept (feel like I failed) but it is what it is.

I understand how you feel.  But, you must stop feeling that way.  It will be much better when you get your new teeth -- they will look better than your old ones, you will be pain free and you will not have more dental work.  I, for one, do not miss the dentist's injectiions!

I'm Karen, the Fixodent Community Manager.  Please don't feel like you failed.  It takes a lot of courage to have your teeth extracted.  Well-fitting dentures will allow you to eat foods to help keep your blood sugar levels under control.  You've taken steps to take care of your health which is SUCCESS in my eyes!
