Meet Monica

I just had the last 12 teeth in my mouth removed on August 9th. My teeth were going bad since I was 40 (Im 52 now).  I pulled more of my own teeth than the dentist did. It wasnt easy to eat and I definitely didnt want to smile; let alone have my picture taken. Monica, you will be so glad when you get your dentures; the pain from the extractions only lasted 2 weeks for myself.  Before I got my dentures, I felt that people werent looking at me, they were looking at the bad teeth in my mouth. Now, I feel that they look at me normally. Monica, you will be glad when you get your dentures! Rose

Wow, I thought I was reading my own story! Only I waited another 12 years.

Now I'm a grandmother, have lots of photos, but I'm only in a few, and never smiling.
I'm also looking at returning to the work force and while it isn't right, people do judge your ability to work, on your teeth.

By the time I started high school....  old fashion braces for 6 years, then a filling in every tooth, and a horrible fear of the dentist.  When I hit my 30's I tried going to the dentist, guess I picked the wrong one, he did a root canal, and didn't do anything for the pain while he was working on me.

I'm going in Aug. 20 they will pull and I will come out with temps. 

To tell you the truth, I'm as nervous as a long tail cat in a room full of rocking chairs.

I did splurge a little, will have regular dentures on the top, but got 'all on 4' for the bottom.

Well good for you to overcome an obstacle in your life. I hope and pray that you will get some good, comfortable teeth and you will look great. Sincerely Monty
