What is the best way to remove denture adhesive from your gums and the roof of your mouth when you take your teeth out? I'm having mega problems with that!

I learned early on that diet cola and/or warm water would release the gummy leftovers. I've worn dentures for 20+ years and have always preferred Fixodent, though I often can't afford it. My main complaint now is...getting the stuff out of its tube! I recently tried the "food seal" type, and even putting the tube into HOT water doesn't help! I now have the tube sealed with a toothpick, which has helped more than anything; the original cap was useless after the first day. Is anyone else having this problem? I can't afford the stuff if this is the way it's being produced, and I really did like it once I was able to get it on my dentures. It's really disgusting to have such a good product in such a lousy container!

i switched to the powder it's so much better and your teeth feel more natural and lasts a long time it's so much easier to remove the powder hardly any left on gums

I always think if you have brand new dentures you don't need adhesive, they don't fit ,so I would speak to the guy that made them. I just got mine yesterday and the suction is so good it's hard to get them out.Not bragging just saying. What I don't understand is why do they make the palot so darn thick. It feels like you have a small frizby in your mouth. I wore upper partials for 42 years and they were weightless and thin and very comfortable. They were as lite as a feather. These are heavy and that is probably why we start right out with fit problems. I don't know just something to think about.

Rinse with warm water and brush your palot and gums with a soft brush.
