Hi Jim and Shari! Well, guess what? I just read your post and I've first got to tell you that I didn't realize exactly what in the world has been wrong with me until my just reading it, but now, with the gentle help of your article ~ I've got it figured out that the forth-coming denture-necessity I'm about to set myself up with is exactly the problem I am having. I have not yet been to my first "denture" appointment but it's become fairly obvious to me now that I'm looking forward to, I guess, my first "denture" appointment. I've been quite depressed, just went through one of those "virus'," that led to a dehydration-in-the-hospital, bag-in-the-arm way of feeding me back to health. Anyway I found out today that the price is no where near what I was led to believe ($10,000.00) for a full set so there is a little bit of happiness in getting a set of dentures now 4 me ~ wow! I can't believe that I am writing like this. Anyway ~ I am a 55-year-old "wannabe" without dentures but it was about a year ago now when not-sooo-slowly, but surely, one-by-one, tooth-by-tooth have become a probllllllllem of some sort and each have either broken off, fallen out, and it's all happened so quickly now ~ but I am practically toothless! I am embarrassed, at times I've gotten mad about it all ~ especially when I think of all the costs involved throughout my life in the maintenance of the beautiful real set of teeth I used to have. I don't yet know why I've all of a sudden been losing those pearly whites, but there's no sense in crying over what's already gone. Anyway, I quit putting on my makeup and getting dressed just like you and thanks to you, I now know why I'm so miserable. But ~ I don't want to sit and continue this, I guess ~ stage, and so I would also like a copy of your "secret(s)" so that I can get on with it too, please. Would you also fill me in on what caused you to have to go this route? I'm worried that my reason(s) 4 losing my teeth may have to do with that gum disease that leads to heart problems because my father went through the same with the gum disease and then died of massive heart failure. They didn't know back then that the gum disease sometimes leads to the heart problem area which is in my family genes ~ at least as far as the cholesterol thing goes that I know of. So you maybe don't want to hear about this part of my problem, so I will wait to hear from you and figure out if you care about this part of the whole ordeal before continuing on with "my getting old" ~ (But! I'm a Farrah Fawcett look-aike (and of course ~ that's in the younger years for me too!) But I think that Goldie and Farrah were pretty good friends, weren't they? I'll be looking forward to hearing from you. Thank you. Tammy
