Yes I have a problem eating with my dentures. I have a full lower plate, and when I use Fixodent, my dentures stay in for a while but then loosen and they have to be removed. It is like the salavia in my mouth desolves the Fixodent and they break loose. Is there a stronger holding product that you make? The product that I am using is Fixodent Free.

I have had my upper plate dentures for a week, and I find I am doing well with the exception of the right side of the plate that has a V shape cut out in the plate. It is like the V cut in the middle of the upper plate. I find the area very sharp, and is irritating my gum area. My friend has dentures, and she says she does not have a V cut out in her plate like I do. can anybody explain to me if they have that, and why they do that?

I too, now have lower denture and having a terrible time similar to yours.  Fixodent has a new adhesive called Fixodent Comfort.  I found it to be the best of any I've tried, including some I ordered that was made in Switzerland.  One part of success on any adhesive is making sure they are DRY when adding adhesive.  The Fixodent Comfort lasts the longest and I have actually gone through two meals before having to reapply.  Yes.....some hot soup or other hot liquids seem to reduce that time but it is definitely better than others tried.

I have a v cut in my new dentures.  It's for the little muscle in the front that runs from the inside lip to the gum.  The v cut is put there so it want cut into that muscle.  So your dentist needs to adjust that for you.  My PROBLEM is when I smile, my v cut shows.  I wish someone could tell me what to do.  It's been 9 days.  And the denture gum pushes way out (like big lumps)  I can feel them on the outside even.  HELP.

Thanks for tell me that you have problems as well. I am at the point of my getting fixed with them , that my dentist used a soft, almost rubbery substance to make them fit better...I do not have my hard lower dentures as yet. My dentures sure do look good, even very natural but i would like to swap them for so that don't look so good but for some that I could eat with them...I am affraid I have said my last good bye to, popcorn, steak, and peanut brittle (whine , whine)hey maybe I will be lucky like the lady who complained of losing weight because of her dentures...hehe
