Except for the first night my dentist said to not wear the dentures 24/7. That it is important that the gum tissue be given time to "rest". And that is the way I am doing it. Every night before bed I remove the dentures, brush them and put them in an overnight soaking solution. Then put them back in the next morning. Its been a little over three weeks now and I can eat some firmer food but there is still a little further to go before the gums have healed enought to try steak. But I have a nice T-bone in the freezer just waiting for me.

Sadly i feel the same, i feel like mr. ed with a swollen mouth and face, i hurt so bad right now but i know a couple of ppl who have dentures and you'd never know it. im at the "i can believe i finally did it" stage atm. i finally took my top plate out and it looks like roadkill in there, all sewn up and purply pink. smells horrible because i couldnt get the plate out at all.... im still tryin like heck to get the bottoms out. im exhausted, frustrated and just plain tired of this right now. im thinking of trying to find a place that will implant each and every tooth available into my mouth so i dont have to wear these bulky things

I had my on the 1st of this month and still feel funny alittle but it does seem to get better ever day. I hope yours goes as good. I still can't believe I done it either, but I just keep telling myself that in a few more weeks when I am eating even better that I will be so happy. I really think it is the best thing sometimes you can do for your own health. Good luck and I wish you the best of luck
