I will be getting my dentures on July 29th, my mouth is full of stitches again becuase I had bone spurs that had to be removed. That hurt worse than anything that had been done, but like everything else the pain is gone .I was lucky enough to try on my dentures today, only gagged twice. LOL They are very beautiful, it will take practice to get use to them, but it will happen. Will go back in next week to have a soft liner put on my dentures, I think it will be worth it Did I want dentures, of course not, but my teeth were bad and this was the road to take, my next set will be with inplants for the upper and lower.

I am on my second day with dentures. I'm worried that if I take them out overnight, my gums will be too swollen to put the dentures back on in the morning. Am I crazy?

I got all of my upper teeth pulled and an immediate denture put in about five days ago now. And that's how I plan on doing it: keeping them in as much as possible and taking them out simply to clean them. The one time I took them out with the intention of letting them soak in the cup, my tongue kept going to the roof of my mouth and feeling where it had been ravaged. In the end I had to hold my tongue down until I could get done cleaning them and stick them back in. It's also the first time I had even a single tooth extracted, so I guess I can't really blame my OCD for going nuts in this regard.
