Hi, I go wednesday to be fited for my top denture. I had all my top teeth pulled. I still have my lower teeth so no denture is needed there. My question is how hard is it to get use to the top plate? Also how long will it take me to get used to it in order to eat. I am three weeks out from having the top teeth pulled and it will take about three weeks to get the new one in so I should be fully healed by then.

I don't know a answer about your post, sorry. I wanted to vent about my problem about denture.. I dont have a denture but I want to get dentures so bad, but I cannot afford them. Don't have dental insurance, I looked dental plans out there. Almost all plans i saw that every tooth they pull....is an additional cost other than the actual denture. Is that true..? If you get dentures, do they give you a temporary denture before you get the actual denture. I hope that someone will answer your question and my question.

I know you had your dentures a long time now, but i would like to know how it went for you, were your gums healed in 3 weeks after extractions? becouse iam 3 mo. since extractions and my gums are closed but dr. says i have to wait another 3mo. before i get my dentures a hard reline or rebased, How did you do after you got your dentures, thanks Carmela
