new dentures

Posted: November 3, 2010 2:23 pm

I have had my dentures for 2 full days now.  I absolutely love them.  The Dentist extracted 12 teeth and put in my new dentures.  I am having some mild aching but not in any real pain.   I can fineally smile now and have nice, straight teeth.

I can't say I haven't had any problems.  I did get several sore spots and I gagged quite a bit for a few weeks.  But I absolutely love my new dentures.  The only thing that probably is helping me though, is that I wore partials for years.  So I learned quite a bit about sore spots, how to eat etc.  This is the best thing that I have ever done.

Loving them right off the bat? That's surprising. I still have moments of annoyance and I'm four or five months into my immediates. How is it now, several weeks later?
