Now that you have dentures, you might be worried that you won't be able to smile with confidence, but in fact, just the opposite is true. Your new dentures should eventually help you feel more confident, with a smile that appears healthy and natural. Nevertheless, until you've adjusted to wearing dentures, you might feel like your smile is not your own.
The difference might be glaring to you and you may worry that others can see a change but, trust me; it's not as noticeable as you think. There is no need to alter your usual make-up routine and hide your smile with boring, dull, neutral shades of make-up — especially since shades close to your skin tone make thin flat lips look thinner and disappear when you smile.
When it comes to your old make-up routine, there may be no need for change now that you have dentures. In fact, if you are known for your signature shade of lipstick and suddenly decide to stop showcasing it, that is what can make you appear different. Keep your head up and your personal style intact. If you don't feel comfortable in the beginning, it's perfectly fine to ease back into your personal style.
Once you're comfortable with your new smile, you may want to mix things up and show it off! In fact, you might even want to consider taking the opportunity to try bright, bold new shades of make-up that will help draw attention to your mouth and beautiful, new smile. Consider trying a lipstain instead of something too matte or overly glossy. Keep in mind that what makes you feel comfortable will help you show off your confidence as well as your new smile, but don't hesitate to experiment Also, I recommend trying a new bronzer to accentuate your cheek bones, which can really help enhance your skin's natural glow.
