Fixodent Plus Bacteria Guard

I used this product for 8 years and it was always the best now, in 2023 this product has fallen to the bottom shelf. In my eyes the worst out there. This will leave a terrible taste in your mouth that you can't get rid of making all your food taste nasty and the product doesn't work anymore it never becomes firm leaving your denture floating and eventually after an hour or two will fall out. It used to last all day and it was hard to get out. I don't recommend this product anybody and I personally will never use it again.

I have had dentures for over 10 years. I tried all of them and fixodent worked the best. Now it does not work! They have changed the formula. I have tried all of the different products and none of them will keep my teeth in my mouth. I am very upset, I have spent a lot of money trying all of their different fixodent products trying to find one that works. GO BACK TO ORIGINAL FORMULA

New formula, long time customer

I have been using this product for over 10 years and this new formula is horrible! It does not hold at all and is messy! If the formula remains this bad I will have no choice but to switch products. Should have left a good product remain a good product and left well enough alone!!!! The change was not a good one!

This new recipe is the worst..  I have to use it at least twice a day, where before I could get away with 24 hours. Please go back to the old recipe or I will have to find another product.

What did you do to Fixadent??

I have been using fixodent for more than 8 years and recently the product changed and does not hold at all.  I can eat one time and my teeth are lose and the cream comes out and in my mouth all of the time!  Very disappointed and looking for another product .  Please re- evaluate and go back to original formula.  Why change something that works!!!

New formula

I have been a customer of this product for over 25 years and for the first time I am greatly disappointed the new product is difficult to clean off of my dentures and it does not hold long at all after the first use of eating anything I have to reapply the Prado just to have a decent grip on my dentures I am so unhappy I’m wondering if there’s anybody else who’s notice and experiencing the same because the product is not the same anymore please help

Change in the formula is so horrible

I’ve had dentures for 2 years now and have been using Polycrip. Well it seemed like all I did all day was reapply more cream to keep my dentures in. It would just disappear! I finally decided to try Fixodent and am very happy with it. It takes less for bondage and really holds.

I got my father in law he's Fixodent  Fixo Bacteria Guard in a 2.0oz in he's words he said it stuff really works I'm very surprised it did the job. I'm very impressed how well it holds my dentures easy seal.

Bought this for my dad and he says it's great! He has had dentures for a long time. He really likes this brand. I know he has tries other products but likes this one. He really like the bacteria guard. Plus the smell is not to strong.

I've used various denture adhesives and the Fixodent with bacteria guard has the best holding strength of any I've used in the past. I'm also very impressed that I can make it thru the day without needing to use it twice a day, saving money.  The bacteria guard is a great added perk as well. I will most definitely be using this denture adhesive as my "go to" everyday!

Great holding power!

I have a partial plate (flipper) until I can get implants. It gets food under it when I eat. I tried this product thinking it would help keep it from slipping and keep the food out. It worked but felt too goopy. I did not like the flavor. It may work better on dentures but I didn't like it for my purposes.

Wouldn't Buy Again

The Fixodent - FIXO Bacteria Guard 2.0oz tube is a great product that does as expected with the added bonus of protecting from bacteria and keeping your mouth overall healthy. If you need a Fixodent product this one is great!

Works

I got the Fixodent Plus with a breath bacteria guard for my partial. It has a very fresh smell and a precision tip so you can easily squeeze out the right amount. It has a clean mint flavor. It lasted me through the day two meals and numerous snacks!

Long lasting hold

Well I thought this was going to be a great Idea, But after closer investigation, and after a couple days of intense inspection, I don't think this is going to work very well for me. Guess  I'm going to have to try something else

I got this a few weeks ago and what a different! I been using fixodent for year and have never used this one. It has a great hold and had scope in it to help fight off bad breath. The precision tip for easy uses is awesome! Will be buy this product again!

Great glue

I’ve tried many different products over the years hoping to find one that does what it’s supposed to. This product does it all. I’ve eaten soft, chewy and hard foods and love the holding power. I can’t attest to the bacteria guard but I Can take a bite of an apple or eat corn on the cob!

Got this and before I tried it I was having trouble with things getting in between gums and dentures. Now it’s like a whole new world with food. I used to worry about bacteria but FIXO Bacteria Guard really made a difference.

I have used Fixodent for a while now and wanted to try the  Bacteria Guard. First the taste is refreshing and not overpowering it just makes your mouth feel clean. Second I love that the tip is narrow. My bottom denture is very narrow and this tip is very easy to get in there. Most tips are wider and it’s hard to get the adhesive in. I definitely will buy it again when this tube runs out.

Refreshing

This product is one of may I have tried. I truly love it and will continue to use it going forward. It holds very well, has a pleasant taste...not chalky, and is not fully. I would recommend this product to anyone wearing dentures.

Great product!

This Fixadent Plus Bacteria Guard is great. Some adhesives leave a bad taste in my my mouth but this one did not. It held my dentures in place for quite a while. This is another great product from Fixodent. I hgihly recommend this to all who wear dentures.

I received as a try it to try and review; I really enjoyed the fact they held dentures in place while traveling as well as eating great comfort and didn't shift or move around. I really enjoyed to they didn't leave an after taste

Great fit

This makes a nice strong and secure bond. I have a full upper and bottom partial. I use just a couple dabs and they fit snuggly in place for the entire day. I love how this one helps defend against mouth odor. Great product!

Good

I always buy the Fixodent bacteria guard for my mother. She has dentures and this product is the only one she will use. The generic brand will not keep teeth in place like Fixodent does. Also the bacteria guard is an extra layer of protection for your mouth and the smoothness to use. It adds flavor to your mouth and no dull filling after using this product.

Great product

I like the thinner tip. It gives me better accuracy in my application. I have used to much in the past. The ooze is nasty tasting. I've only needed to apply once a day. The hold has been super and nothing gets under my plate. The Bacteria Guard is a nice advantage. Great hold and bad breath deterrent!

Strong Hold!!!

My husband has false teeth and always has issues with adhesive when securing his teeth. I got the Fixodent Bacteria Guard for him and he says it holds tight and secure, even when eating nuts or candy. Also I like the idea of it having a bacteria guard element to it. Bad bacteria is extremely unhealthy and I want him around for a while longer.

Great hold all day

I tried this Fixodent Denture Paste, and I was pleasantly surprised just how good the hold was on my dentures.  I usually have problems with the top ones holding in, but Fixodent worked like a charm!  I was actually able to eat corn on the cob, steak, and other things too.   I would recommend this product to anyone who ask’s!

Before I try this I had to watch when I went to smell in fear that my Dentures would fall out but with the fixodent plus I don't have to worry about it I even had my mother in law try it and she was happy with it

Awesome product

This is a great product to help keep dentures in place and also prevent bacterial contamination. I had gotten thrush from not keeping dentures as clean as they should be and this paste seems to help that condition - I haven't had any flare ups in a while.

I received this fixodent bacteria guard for review and I seem to like it ..I am new to denture wearing and still getting used to it and I was glad to try this.. I like the bacteria guard keeps things fresh and it has a slight mint taste..

I have tried this before and hated it, I decided to give it another try,  First off , let me say the first time i used it , I did not know what I was doing and I hated it ,  you have to use it right or it taste like chalk in your mouth,  Use on clean dentures and you dont need a whole lot, put in your mouth and dont  eat food for at least an hour, The chalkiness will be replaced with more of a almost putty texture and will last for about 24 hours, I use it every day or two to help keep teeth from falling out or to keep particles of food from getting under my dentures and hurting. I  liked the scope flavor that you taste when first put in your mouth. and the bacteria guard is great too.  If you eat right away and take them out to wash, you will not like this product. once I put them in ,  they don't move for at least twenty four hours or more  I also like that its pink instead of the white.

Better than I Thought

Dentures no longer fall out!  This is a lifesaver as dentures that are falling out are not a good look.  Have tried a few other solutions but nothing seems to work as well as Fixodent plus.  I would absolutely buy this again.

My friend said this is a great product and that it works good and keeps your dentures in place and it is better tasting so that's a plus he says it make you want to use it cause it taste better and holds better

I recently received this product and had ordered it for my boyfriend as he is the one with dentures. He said it’s even better than the super grip Fixodent that he normally uses! This works great and last as it is supposed to do. Smells great as well. It’s easy to use and apply. You can trust this does the work and you won’t have an accident while using  this in public. This is the best option out there

Strong and Easy to Use

I got the Bateria Gaurd tube of Fixodent for my dentures. Was very easy to apply, no oozing, holds great no matter what I eat. I love that it's guarding against bacteria makes me feel like it's helping to not only keep my denture clean but my gums as well. I worry that my breath isn't clean because of having to wear dentures this gives me bit of confidence that it's helping my mouth to stay cleaner as well as holding my denture in place.

Bacteria killer for dentures

This seems to be what I needed. Its easy to take. There has not been any bad side effects from taking it. They are easy to swallow. I feel less bloated since taking these.  It has definitely made me feel better taking these.

Just as described

I really like this denture adhesive. I can use enough to work effectively without worrying about the bond ripping the skin from the roof if my mouth. Other adhesives I've tried hurt to unstick, but this product turns loose easily with light pressure, yet stays firmly in place during eating and speaking. The Breath Bacteria Guard gives me peace of mind knowing my dentures aren't causing odor problems. Overall great product

Great adhesive

This is the only adhesive that holds as promised that I have used.  You do have to make sure that you use only a little because it is strong.    For me it is so long lasting and really molds to your gums really well.

Has very good grip, holds nicely. Don’t use adhesives often because they tend to be gritty and bad taste but this one was tolerable. Love being able to eat or talk without dentures slipping, now can be confident bacteria won’t leach on as badly.

I try different brand of Fixodent, but I really like Fixodent Plus with the precision tip and Bacteria Guard.
The precision tip let my provide a precise thin line on my full and partial plate.. 
I applied the adhesive once a day. Plus it was easy to apply.. The adhesive kept my denture in place all - day long. Chewing and drinking were no problem.. No slipping.. Plus the Bacteria Guard is a big bonus!
On the back of the tube box, it says that the tube of adhesive should last 6-7 weeks and has a space to write when the date opened..

All-Day Hold..

The cream is used for holding your dentures in place, I don’t wear dentures but my mother does, she’s not used to wearing anything on her dentures. But this product works to hold dentures in place, does a good job according to the dentures wearer. Not an offense smell or taste.

Bacteria Guards

It really works!!

I received my product to try and I am amazed on how well it works. I have been using Fixodent for a long time and I love it on how well it works. I use it on my lower dentures and this product gives a strong hold and lit last a long time through out the day. I have tried other denture adhesives and I prefer Fixodent it's the best.

This works well for holding dentures in place. An important aspect is that it helps fight bacteria growth and bad breath.  This can be a problem if food particles get stuck, so it helps on both fronts. Keeping dentures secure so food can get stuck and helping to stop the bad breath. It’s also easy to apply.

The new Fixodent

The formula has changed and has more water to it. The package of the tube is smaller with the same cost as before. No I have not changed the kind I get or get the wrong kind. Fixodent ultra max hold also has my mouth burning after applying because I decided to still try and use it. I will now be switching brands because I won't risk having a chemical burn to my gums.

Formula Change

Has the formula changed? I recently purchased a multi pack of Fixodent Original. The packaging and product seems to have changed. The packaging color is now more vibrant blue and pink. The product is very “oozie”, and darker in color. It also does not seem to hold as well which means I’m using more than normal. I have used Fixodent original for at least 15 years I would normally give this product a five star rating. I really want my old Fixodent back!

Has the formula changed?

I usually get the traditional fix odent and it works great. The other one “skinny applicator, my husband got 2 in a package.  I thought maybe just a fluke in the skinny app, no fluke because it’s done with every one that he purchased. You can push the product out and it just down not come out. I’m so upset that this stuff is pretty pricey and you get to use maybe 1/4 to 1/2 of the tube. I will never ,every buy this version of fixodent again. I know you must have gotten similar complaint as I have stated.  ~

This denture adhesive cream works as promised, it does holds up really well and there were no issues when it came to use it or afterwards with bad breath... Overall it is a good quality product that I recommend, it easy to use and apply as if it were toothpaste.

I absolutely love this stuff. When I use the fixodent denture adhesive, I feel so much more confident. I can actually laugh without my teeth falling out. I can actually eat corn on the cob and steak without any problems.

I bought this a month ago and I’m so happy I did! My grandmother has dentures and needed a better option with her dentures. I found this product and sent it to her and she loves it. The bacteria guard is an awesome plus to it.

Works wonders

It’s my first time using fixodent brand, and I’m so used to other brands, such as crest, and Colgate. So far, it’s good. It fights bacteria, whitens teeth, eliminates bad breath, etc. Definitely recommend using this toothpaste.

I have tried several different brands and types for my dentures and never too please. This one works great. Lasts all day and easy to clean. Probably going to be go to and favorite from now on. Will definitely buy again

I definitely like fixodent bacteria guard 2.0. It isnt gooey and doesn't ooze out. The Monty taste is great! I love that it had properties to keep bacteria from growing. I definitely recommend this product!

Ok product

I personally did not use the fixodent. My mother has dentures and she tried it and loves it. She normally uses another brand but after trying this she said she will be buying fixodent from now on. She said it worked better.

Very adhesive

I use fixodent  and was excited to try this product Fixodent - FIXO Bacteria Guard. It works pretty good and it's always nice to have the bacteria Guard but I have noticed with most of the fixodent products I have tried that the fix doesn't last as long as I would like it to before my teeth start to become loose and hard to eat with. Unfortunately this seems to be an issue with all the denture adhesive products I have tried not just fixodent.

I bought his toothpaste as it's a different brand I've never used before, I really like it. It fight bacteria, Whitens teeth. Fights bad breath, teeth stains, cavities. Definitely recommend using this toothpaste.

THIS HOLDS MY TEETH IN FIRMLY AND LASTS ALL DAY SO I NEVER HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT THEM BECCOMING LOOSE. THE TIP IS ULTRA THIN WHICH ALLOWS PRECISE CONTINUOUS LINES  THAT IS EASY TO APPLY. I've recently had to start using denture adhesive and was satisfied to come across Fixo Bacteria Guard has a very good hold and you have to love that it is a bacteria guard happy to be protecting my gums definitely recommend this product

I bought this , I have tried a lot of adhesives but this one is far best it’s fresh feeling , long lasting and don’t clot up like other , and I love it’s a bacteria Guard, it’s last all day through every meal the price is great and very easy to use .

I feel amazing using this

Fixodent Plus with bacteria guard is the best denture adhesive that I have ever used.  It comes out of the tube in a narrow stream, not too thick and has a refreshing taste while wearing and after removing them.  I did not experience that  glob feeling stuck in the roof of my mouth and and it cleaned easily off of my dentures.  Not only did it hold my dentures well, I felt like my breath was nice and fresh.  I highly recommend this product.

I like this brand. This has a nice minty flavor. It makes my mouth feel just a little more clean. Smaller bead of product and helps with oozing. And it seems to last a little longer. Good for long wear.

Great holding power. Tastes minty and not that yucky chalk taste like you get with other adhesive products. Last longer then product currently using.  Stands up to all chewing from meat to soft foods , hot or cold . Mouth seems cleaner and fresher. Easy to apply and remove from dentures.

Good Stuff

I absolutely love this Fixodent adhesive. I was sceptical at first, because of the Scope flavor in it. Other Fixodent products I've tried with the Scope mouthwash in it, were very strong and made me a little nauseous. But this one,has just the right amount. And the controlled applicator tip, is awesome, I can put it exactly where I want it, therefore it has just about no oozing out the sides of the denture. I am definitely going to use this from now on...

Love this product

This Fixodent Plus precision hold & seal really doesn't feel any different than the Extra Hold Fixodent also with antibacterial breath protection! I truly feel no difference in the both of them it all, the only difference that I noticed was a play in them name & wording, because this Fixodent holds up just the same to hear as well as a good tight hold. So ink my opinion I would purchase whichever one you prefer on what they label /box says it does, because they both definitely hold up to what they box says! Great product & always my go to brand.

I typically use this brand, but decided to switch from Scope to Bacteria Guard to see if I could get the same clean feeling. This one Holds wonderfully, and this does have a nice clean feeling all day long. I would purchase in the future.

I have a full set of dentures and I have always used Fixodent to put them in. Typically I will the original Fixodent as it has always held well for me. I put my dentures in first thing in the morning and by bed time they come out easily enough. I would say that as far as how well this denture adhesive works - it works as well as or maybe slightly better than the Fixodent original. I do like that it has a “bacteria guard” that gives it a minty taste, feels like your mouth is clean the whole day. The one thing that I don’t like about it is that the minty taste can sometimes be distracting or a little unpleasant when you’re eating. I don’t know anyone who would want a minty baked potato. Other than that, I really appreciate this denture adhesive and wound definitely recommend!

I've been using this about a week now and it works great. It doesn't have a flavor but my mouth seems to stay fresher longer. It holds tight. I like that it has a skinny tip, very precise. I also like that it its antibacterial.

This product is really good. Great taste with no weird aftertaste. Great hold with no loosening up. Easy to remove and clean up. After using this product I would definitely not be going back to the others that I’ve tried.

Feeling secure!

Such a great product. It holds strong and comfortably. I like the breath fresh er that it adds. All day hold while keeping out bits of food that can often sneak under. I will definitely be using this going forward.

After reading the directions carefully I applied as it is recommended. There was no unpleasant taste but the hold was not long lasting. After only applying and eating breakfast and of course brushing my teeth the hold started to loosen. I continued as I usually do getting close to lunch time I noticed that the hold wasn't enough to have another meal. The tip is very small so there is very small line that comes out. It is also recommended in the directions not to apply a lot because it does contain zinc. It does leave your breathe fresh and the added bonus of the mouthwash. This would work well on a partial  but not on a full denture.

Hold not

The hold was a slight improvement but my mouth did feel much fresher and cleaner. This is the only kind of sealer I use, so I would definitely always recommend Fixodent it is the best product out there. Highly recommended.

FIXO Bacteria Guard

I like this version of fixadent. It's very easy to use and keeps my dentures in place without any worries. I really like that it has the bacteria guard, makes me feel like I'm making a good choice. It has a decent flavor also. The tube is easy to use and it only takes a little. I'll be buying more.

Works Great

We keep FIXO stocked at my house when my children come in with a little scrape and mom or dad hast to take care of it. I recommend it to all my friends for a quick treatment to help prevent bacteri. We recommend it to all our family and friends.

Fix it ain't worked really well it doesn't get messy he doesn't sleep everywhere stays just where you need it when you put on your partials or your dentures and it's long-lasting so you don't have to reapply it throughout the day unless you take off take it off the brush your teeth or something in the middle of the day otherwise very good product works very well

Glue

Fixodent is the only brand my wife uses on her partials. This one gives her superior hold and keeps little bits of food from getting underneath, which causes a lot of pain when it does. Also like the fact this has bacteria guard. Would recommend to anyone.

Superior Hold

Got this for my mom cause fixodent is the only brand she will use with her dentures. The bacteria guard is a huge plus, from just regular adhesive. Very easy to apply with a continuous hold. The ultra thin tip helps apply to the dentures with precision and ease!

Nothing better.

Love this product!  Very easy to use and holds great.  Just follow the directions as to apply to your partials or dentures and put them in.  Your all set!  No slipping or coming loose until you are ready to take them out.  Easy to remove and clean.

Wonderrful product!

I used this with my partials. It has an extremely thin and precise tip so I don't have to use as much. There's no funky after taste like some of these have, actually there's a slight mint taste I catch when removing. I'd recommend to anyone who needs a little extra security with their denture or partial..

I bought this for my great aunt because her dentures were always loose because the bond would use for it never worked properly for her so she wouldn’t even talk because she was embarrassed by it. So what did I do? I searched new gels she can use and I stumbled across this one and all the reviews on it made me buy it and it’s the best.

Fixodent Plus with bacteria guard kept my dentures in place while keeping my breath fresh. No food got in between the dentures and my gums. I like that the flavor isn’t overpowering or powdery, its a clean fresh flavor. The hold lasted a full 24 hours and would have probably lasted longer if I hadn’t removed my dentures.

The Fixodent - FIXO Bacteria Guard 2.0oz is the perfect adhesive for my denture because it works for all of the day and has a fresh taste that also lasts a long time!  Bacteria guard is a welcome bonus.

I am very pleased with how well the FixodentPlus Precision Hold & Seal works. The first thing I like about it is the fact that it is not a thick and pasty consistency, but instead is thinner yet stronger. The fine point applicator tip also makes it easier to use and seals more effectively -- a big plus in my book.  Adding the bacteria guard also makes it more appealing.
